Quote of the Day 6/16

“‘I’m never wearing them,’ Ron was saying stubbornly. ‘Never.’
‘Fine,’ snapped Mrs. Weasley. ‘Go naked. And, Harry, make sure you get a picture of him. Goodness knows I could do with a laugh.”

Quote of the Day 11/30

“Who’re you going with, then?” said Ron.
“Angelina,” said Fred promptly, without a trace of embarrassment.
“What?” said Ron, taken aback. “You’ve already asked her?”
“Good point,” said Fred. He turned his head and called across the common room, “Oi! Angelina!”
Angelina, who had been chatting with Alicia Spinnet near the fire, looked over at him.
“What?” She called back.
“Want to come to the ball with me?”
Angelina gave Fred a sort of appraising look.
“All right, then,” she said, and she turned back to Alicia and carried on chatting with a bit of a grin on her face.
“There you go,” said Fred to Harry and Ron.”

Quote of the Day 8/15

Hermione:“Not going to have a very good month, are you?”
Ron: “Ah well, at least I’m forewarned.”
Hermione: “You seem to be drowning twice.”
Ron: “Oh am I? I’d better change one of them to getting trampled by a rampaging hippogriff.” Hermione: “Don’t you think it’s a bit obvious you’ve made these up?”
Ron: “How dare you! We’ve been working like house-elves here!”
Hermione raised her eyebrows.
Ron: “It’s just an expression.”

Third Sentence Thursday 7/24

I just finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and I haven’t started The Goblet of Fire yet, but it’s what I’m reading next. Also, I’ve read it before, so I can jump as far in the book as I want.

“Viktor Krum was in the library an awful lot too, and Harry wondered what he was up to. Was he studying, or was he looking for things to help him through the first task? Hermione often complained about Krum being there – not that he ever bothered them – but because groups of giggling girls often turned up to spy on him from behind bookshelves, and Hermione found the noise distracting.
‘He’s not even good-looking!'”
